emanator

Thing that radiates

An emanator is something or someone that emanates—that sends forth or gives off.

The word appears in technical contexts for devices that release substances: a pheromone emanator for pest control, a scent emanator.

More abstractly, an emanator is a source from which something flows or originates: the emanator of false rumors.
