elementary teacher
Young children's educator
An elementary teacher instructs children in the early grades of formal schooling, typically kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade.
Unlike secondary teachers who specialize in one subject, elementary teachers usually teach all core subjects—reading, writing, math, science, social studies—to the same group of students throughout the day: My son's elementary teacher says he's excelling in reading but needs help with math.
