electric arcs
Lightning bolt miniatures
Electric arcs are luminous discharges of electricity across a gap between two conductors.
The current ionizes the air, creating intense heat and light—the principle behind arc welding, arc lamps, and lightning.
Unintended arcs cause electrical fires and equipment damage.
The faulty wiring produced dangerous electric arcs.
