ectopia
Abnormal tissue location
Ectopia is the abnormal positioning of an organ or body part—displacement from its usual location.
In medicine, ectopic describes such displacement: an ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg implants outside the uterus, typically in a fallopian tube.
Ectopic heartbeats originate from the wrong part of the heart.
