early exit
Leaving before ending
Early exit is leaving before the expected or scheduled end—departing a concert at intermission, selling an investment before maturity, or quitting a program before completion.
In programming, an early exit is a return statement or break that terminates a function or loop before reaching its natural end: The function has an early exit if the input is null.
