Duplex communication is data transmission that flows in both directions between two points.
In full duplex, both sides can send and receive simultaneously—like a telephone conversation where both parties can speak at once.
In half duplex, transmission alternates directions—like a walkie-talkie where one person talks while the other listens, then they switch: The radio system operates in half duplex mode.
