duck race
Rubber flotilla contest
A duck race is a novelty contest where rubber ducks float down a waterway, with prizes for owners of ducks that cross the finish line first.
Often held as charity fundraisers, participants purchase numbered ducks that are released en masse into a stream or channel: The annual duck race raised thousands for the children's hospital.
