town fair
Community celebration event
A town fair is a local festival combining amusement rides, games, food vendors, and competitions—typically livestock judging, baking contests, or craft exhibitions.
Usually held annually, often in late summer or early fall, town fairs celebrate agricultural heritage and community identity: The whole county turns out for the town fair.
County fair and state fair are larger versions.
