driveler

One who rambles

A driveler is someone who talks nonsense or speaks in a silly, meaningless way.

The word derives from drivel—foolish talk or saliva running from the mouth—and carries connotations of both mental feebleness and tiresome blather: Don't listen to that driveler.

Also spelled driveller.
