dosimeters
Exposure measuring devices
Dosimeters are devices that measure accumulated exposure to radiation.
Workers in nuclear plants, hospitals, and research facilities wear personal dosimeters—often small badges—to track their radiation dose over time: The technicians checked their dosimeters after entering the containment area.
Different types measure different radiation: film badges, thermoluminescent dosimeters, electronic devices with digital readouts.
