doshas
Vata, pitta, kapha
Doshas are the three fundamental energies in Ayurvedic medicine believed to govern human physiology and temperament: vata (air and space), pitta (fire and water), and kapha (earth and water).
Each person has a unique balance of doshas that determines their constitution.
Imbalance among the doshas is thought to cause illness: The practitioner said my vata was aggravated.
