divine incarnation
Deity in flesh
Divine incarnation is a deity taking bodily form, becoming flesh and dwelling among mortals.
Christianity's central claim is that Jesus Christ was the divine incarnation of God.
Other religions have parallel concepts—Hindu avatars like Krishna and Rama are divine incarnations of Vishnu.
The term can apply loosely to anyone seen as embodying godlike qualities: She moved through the crowd like a divine incarnation of grace itself.
