discount rack
Sale items spot
A discount rack is a display in a retail store holding merchandise marked down from regular prices, typically clearance items, end-of-season goods, or slightly damaged products.
Shoppers who dig through discount racks may find bargains but accept limited selection: I found this jacket on the discount rack for half off.
Figuratively, something consigned to the discount rack has lost its former value or status.
