disappearing message
Temporary digital communication
A disappearing message is a text, photo, or video set to delete itself automatically after being viewed or after a set time period.
The feature appears in messaging apps like Snapchat and Signal, designed for privacy or ephemeral communication: I sent it as a disappearing message so there's no record.
