diplexer
Frequency path separator
A diplexer is a device that combines or separates two signals of different frequency bands on a single transmission line.
In television systems, a diplexer might merge VHF and UHF antenna signals into one cable, or split them apart at the receiver.
Unlike a splitter, which divides signal power equally, a diplexer uses filters to route signals by frequency without loss: The installer added a diplexer to combine the satellite and antenna feeds.
