Dialing in means fine-tuning something until it works exactly right.
The phrase comes from adjusting radio or equipment dials to find the optimal setting.
You dial in your coffee grinder, your workout routine, or your sales pitch: It took a few attempts, but I've got the recipe dialed in now.
Once something is dialed in, it's perfected and repeatable.
