depersonalisation

Feeling unreal, disconnected

Depersonalisation is a psychological state in which you feel detached from yourself—as if observing your own thoughts, actions, or body from outside.

The experience can be fleeting and mild or persistent and distressing, often accompanying anxiety, trauma, or dissociative disorders: During the panic attack, depersonalisation set in and I felt like I was watching myself from across the room.
