dental mirrors
Oral examination tools
Dental mirrors are small, angled mirrors on slender handles used by dentists to see areas of the mouth that aren't directly visible.
The mirror reflects light into dark recesses and provides a view of tooth surfaces, gums, and the backs of teeth.
They also retract the cheek or tongue during examination: The hygienist used a dental mirror to check for cavities behind the molars.
