decertify
Strip official status
To decertify is to withdraw official certification or recognition from something previously certified.
Labor unions can be decertified when workers vote to remove them as bargaining representatives.
Professional licenses, athletic records, or election results may be decertified when authorities determine the original certification was improper: The state moved to decertify the election results.
The opposite of certify.
