dark stars
Invisible massive objects
Dark stars are hypothetical stellar objects from the early universe, theorized to be powered by dark matter annihilation rather than nuclear fusion.
Unlike conventional stars, they would emit little visible light despite being massive—hence "dark." The term also appears in science fiction and occasionally describes dying or collapsed stars that no longer shine.
