crossbites

Teeth meeting wrong

Crossbites are a type of dental malocclusion where one or more teeth are positioned closer to the cheek or tongue than the corresponding teeth in the opposite jaw.

When you bite down, the upper and lower teeth don't align properly—some upper teeth sit inside the lower teeth instead of outside.

Crossbites can be anterior (front teeth) or posterior (back teeth), and orthodontists correct them with braces, expanders, or other appliances.
