Inter-school course taking
Cross-registration is an arrangement that lets students at one institution take courses at another for credit.
The term appears most often in higher education, where universities in the same area or consortium allow students to enroll in each other's classes: Cross-registration with the neighboring college gave her access to their film program.
The practice expands course options without requiring transfer.
