cowpat
Bovine meadow deposit
A cowpat is a flat, circular deposit of cow dung found in pastures and fields.
The word is more common in British English; Americans tend to say cow pie.
Fresh cowpats are soft and hazardous to step in; dried ones become firm and harmless: The field was dotted with cowpats.
