Conditioner as cleanser
Cowashing is washing hair with conditioner instead of shampoo.
The practice skips detergent-based cleansers to preserve natural oils, favored by people with curly, coily, or dry hair: I switched to cowashing and my curls have never looked better.
Also spelled co-washing.
Short for "conditioner washing."
