cornsalad
Small salad green
Cornsalad is a small leafy plant with mild, slightly nutty leaves eaten raw in salads.
Also called lamb's lettuce or mâche, it grows wild in grain fields—hence the name.
The tender rosettes are popular in European cooking: a simple salad of cornsalad dressed with walnut oil.
