cornerpieces
Diagonal bracket ornaments
Cornerpieces are decorative or structural elements placed at corners—of picture frames, furniture, architectural features, or page layouts.
They often serve both functional and ornamental purposes, reinforcing joints while adding visual interest: The antique cabinet had ornate brass cornerpieces.
In bookbinding and graphic design, cornerpieces frame content at the angles of borders or margins.
