congregational singing
Group hymn participation
Congregational singing is the practice of an entire assembly or audience singing together, typically in a religious service.
Unlike performances where a choir or soloist sings while others listen, congregational singing invites full participation from everyone present.
The practice is central to many Christian denominations, particularly Protestant churches, where hymns and worship songs are sung by the whole congregation rather than trained musicians alone.
