command centers
Strategic control rooms
Command centers are facilities where operations are coordinated and decisions are made during military campaigns, emergencies, or large-scale events.
The term evokes screens displaying real-time data, communication equipment, and personnel monitoring situations: The hurricane response was managed from a command center in Tallahassee.
Informally, any space that serves as operational headquarters might be called a command center: Her home office had become mission command center for the wedding.
