coin pusher
Quarter-shoving game
A coin pusher is an arcade game where players drop coins onto a moving platform, hoping to push other coins (and sometimes prizes) over an edge to win them.
The machine creates an illusion of easy winnings while the house edge ensures profit: I wasted twenty dollars on the coin pusher at the boardwalk.
Also called a coin dozer or penny pusher.
