co-axial
Along one axis
Co-axial describes things sharing a common axis—arranged so that one element surrounds another along the same central line.
Most familiar in coaxial cable, where a central conductor runs through insulating material inside a cylindrical outer conductor, all aligned on the same axis.
The design shields signals from interference.
Also spelled coaxial.
