flat pedals
Pedals without clips
Flat pedals are bicycle pedals with a broad, level platform that riders stand on without any attachment mechanism.
Unlike clipless pedals, which lock to special shoes, flat pedals allow quick foot placement and removal—preferred for mountain biking, BMX, and casual riding: I run flat pedals so I can bail if I need to.
