chondrite

Primitive space rock

A chondrite is a stony meteorite containing small round grains called chondrules—droplets of molten rock that solidified in the early solar system before planets formed.

Chondrites are the most common type of meteorite and preserve primitive material from the solar system's formation 4.5 billion years ago: The chondrite fragment showed no signs of the melting that occurs in planetary bodies.
