chest compression
Rhythmic lifesaving pushes
Chest compression is the rhythmic pressing on a person's chest to manually pump blood through the heart during cardiac arrest.
It forms the core of CPR: you push hard and fast on the breastbone, typically at a rate of 100–120 compressions per minute, to maintain circulation until the heart can restart or emergency help arrives.
