cheese tea

Creamy tea topping

Cheese tea is a beverage originating in Taiwan and China, consisting of tea topped with a thick, slightly salty foam made from cream cheese, milk, and sometimes whipped cream.

The drink is meant to be sipped so the creamy layer mingles with the tea beneath: I finally tried cheese tea and it's actually delicious.

Despite the name, it tastes more like salted cream than cheese.
