check box

Clickable option marker

A check box is a small square on a form or screen that can be marked or left empty to indicate a choice.

In paper forms, you fill it with a check mark or X; in digital interfaces, clicking toggles it between checked and unchecked states.

Check boxes allow selecting multiple options from a list, unlike radio buttons which permit only one.

Check the box to agree to the terms of service.

Also written checkbox.
