Shoddy low-cost thing
Cheapo is informal for something cheap, poorly made, or low-quality: some cheapo plastic toy, a cheapo motel off the highway.
As a noun, it can describe a person who's stingy: Don't be such a cheapo—tip the driver.
The word is dismissive but usually playful rather than harsh.
