capacitated

Given the ability

Capacitated means made capable or qualified for something.

In reproductive biology, capacitated describes sperm that have undergone physiological changes enabling them to fertilize an egg—a process called capacitation that occurs in the female reproductive tract.

Outside technical contexts, the word is rare; most writers prefer enabled or empowered.
