cable man
TV service worker
A cable man is a technician who installs or repairs cable television and internet service.
The term evokes the stereotype of unreliable scheduling—waiting around for the cable man became shorthand for frustrating service windows: The cable man was supposed to come between 8 and noon, and he showed up at 4.
Also *cable guy*.
