button fly
Non-zipper pants fastening
A button fly is a trouser closure using a vertical row of buttons instead of a zipper.
Common on traditional jeans and some dress pants, button flies were standard before zippers became widespread.
Some wearers prefer them for durability or aesthetics: I always buy jeans with a button fly.
