bung hole

Cask's filling port

A bung hole is the opening in a barrel or cask through which liquid is poured in or drained out, sealed with a stopper called a bung.

The term also serves as crude slang for anus, playing on the hole-and-stopper imagery.

Sometimes spelled as one word: bunghole.
