bumper pool
Obstructed cue sport
Bumper pool is a billiards variant played on a smaller, often octagonal table with obstacles called bumpers in the center and near each pocket.
Players must navigate their balls around these cushioned posts to sink them in pockets at opposite ends.
The game works well in tight spaces where a standard pool table won't fit: We played bumper pool in the basement.
