broken-in

No longer stiff

Broken-in describes something that has been worn or used enough to become comfortable and pliable.

New boots are stiff; broken-in boots have molded to the wearer's feet: These broken-in jeans are my favorite.

The term also applies to people or animals that have been trained or acclimated: a well broken-in horse.
