brazed
Fused with alloy
Brazed is the past tense of braze, meaning to join metal pieces using a filler metal with a lower melting point than the pieces being joined.
The filler flows into the joint by capillary action when heated.
Brazing differs from soldering by using higher temperatures and from welding by not melting the base metals: The copper pipes were brazed together.
