brass bed
Golden-toned furniture frame
A brass bed is a bed frame made of brass tubing, typically featuring decorative metalwork in the headboard and footboard.
Popular from the Victorian era through the early twentieth century, brass beds became symbols of modest domestic comfort and appear frequently in period descriptions of bedrooms.
Modern versions are often brass-plated steel rather than solid brass.
