booter
Field goal kicker
A booter is software or a service that floods a target with internet traffic to knock it offline—essentially a denial-of-service attack tool.
Originally hacker slang, booters are now marketed to gamers who want to kick opponents offline: He used a booter to lag out the other team.
The term also refers to someone who boots cars with wheel clamps, or in older computing contexts, a program that initiates system startup.
