board gamers
Meeple-pushing enthusiasts
Board gamers are people who play board games as a regular hobby, not just occasionally.
The term implies enthusiasm and dedication—someone who owns multiple games, learns complex rules, and seeks out others to play with.
Board gamers often distinguish themselves from casual players of mass-market games like Monopoly, preferring strategy-heavy or niche titles: The board gamers at our local meetup introduced me to Catan.
