blindsnake
Eyeless subterranean serpent
A blindsnake is a small, burrowing snake with vestigial eyes covered by scales, giving it a blind appearance.
These harmless snakes resemble earthworms and live underground, feeding on ants and termites.
Found in tropical and subtropical regions worldwide, they rarely surface except after heavy rains.
