blind study
Bias-reducing experiment
A blind study is a research design where participants don't know whether they're receiving the actual treatment or a placebo, preventing their expectations from influencing results.
In a double-blind study, neither participants nor researchers know who received what until after data collection.
The drug was tested in a blind study of 500 patients.
