blind runner
Visually impaired athlete
A blind runner is a visually impaired athlete who competes in running events, typically racing alongside a sighted guide connected by a tether.
The term also applies more casually to someone running a race or route without prior knowledge of the course: I went in as a blind runner—never seen the trail before.
