blind pick
Choice without information
A blind pick is a selection made without knowing what others have chosen, especially in competitive video games where players select characters simultaneously rather than taking turns.
The format prevents counterpicking—choosing specifically to exploit an opponent's selection.
In blind pick, you might end up with mirror matchups.
